The Detroit Public Schools began the implementation of the SubFinder system in schools in January 2003. Since February 2003, the SubFinder system has been used by Teachers, Substitute Teachers, Building Trades staff, Public Safety and Central Office staff.
The phased stages for the implementation of the SubFinder system included Schools Center Building, Annex, and Fisher Building employees (Phase I); the Chadsey Constellation and Langston Hughes Academy teachers and administrators (Phase II); and the teachers and administrators in the remaining District schools (Phase III).
