Students learn to and gain the desire to become more than a cook, through the gourmet meals they learn to prepare, under the tutelage of our highly qualified Culinary Staff.
• A Technology Computer Build (TCB) Challenge, a parent involvement activity; wherein, students partner with their parent/guardian (a two person team) will be given the challenge of successfully building a computer from donated computers that have been disassembled and placed in containers of like parts. Teams are challenged to build a computer and if it actually boots-up the team can take it home.
• A Hair Show by the Cosmetology students will present the different learning stages of this program. The various concepts learned during each level, 10th, 11th, & 12th grade classes will demonstrate the progression of the different skills sets learned in the Cosmetology Program. As well, the students of the one year 12th grade Manicuring Program will demonstrate their latest nail creations.
• The Trade and Industry Department – Welding & Cutting students will display metal products they created in their Welding & Cutting Program. The community will have the privilege of ordering the products, such as decorative plant holders, a barbeque grill, yard art, etc. for a nominal price (material only). How to resurface brake rotors and drums; how troubleshooting via the use of a diagnostic scan tool cuts the technicians work in half; how to pull codes from a vehicle when the check engine light appears and how and why wheel alignment is important to the life of your vehicle activities will be demonstrated.
